Our History

Jenny and Chris Elliott founded Caliber 1 Construction, Inc. in 2005. In the early years, the company operated out of the loft of Paulding Kids University, a childcare center business constructed by Chris and operated by Jenny. The success of the Elliott’s childcare centers inspired the existence of Caliber 1 Construction. It is the passion these two share for business that allows them to navigate challenges and continue finding success. However, through economic downturns and a passion to grow a business the dynamic duo sought to find opportunity in a variety of markets and ultimately expanded to 38 states. By 2009, retail-fit and finishes, upfits, and renovation projects occupied 90% of the company’s focus. Caliber 1 Construction’s ability to meet expected schedules and to produce finished work that was far superior to their competitors created a niche that elevated the firm as a sought-after contractor by national brands such as Chick-fil-A, T-Mobile, Starbucks and Target. As the company continued to evolve and diversify, a formal ground up division was created allowing the fast-paced and schedule-focused retail experience to be applied to larger work. In the new-build projects, C1C has been commended for the ability to meet and exceed construction schedules. Despite the pandemic, C1C is thriving in the higher education, retail, financial, educational, restaurants, professional, and K-12 markets. Caliber 1 Construction is a proud West Georgia based contractor and recently completed a full renovation of the CERC Professional Building (formally  Regions tower) in Villa Rica, Georgia.
