Carroll County Fire Station
The current design has the following spaces: (3) apparatus bays, gear room, conference room, utility rooms, kitchen, and dining room. It also has day rooms, fitness room, separate sleeping rooms, locker and laundry room, and restrooms with showers. A slide/pole, covered outdoor space and rooftop training areas complete the list. The building was constructed with a brick masonry exterior with metal panelling, aluminium store front glazing, and single membrane TPO roofing. A VRF system for sleeping + Split System HVAC and an outdoor generator rounded this project out nicely. Structural components include load bearing masonry and structural metal stud framing combination under one roof. A unique component to this project are the installed bi-fold apparatus bay doors which are more efficient, durable, and low maintenance. Completed by Caliber 1 Construction, a certified, woman-owned company.
