VILLA RICA, GA. — December 8, 2025 — Caliber 1 Construction announced today the promotion of two longtime executives, marking an important step in the company’s continued growth and long-term vision.
- Christine McCommons has been named Chief Strategy Officer.
- Pope Cleghorn has been named Chief Construction Officer.
The promotions reflect Caliber 1’s commitment to building a strong leadership foundation for the future. By elevating these key roles, the company is defining a clearer leadership structure, strengthening internal operations, and building the leadership depth needed to sustain future success.

McCommons, who has helped drive Caliber 1 Construction’s brand development and business growth since 2018, will focus on long-term strategy, market positioning, and client relationships in her new role as Chief Strategy Officer. She is also a 2025 graduate of Leadership Carroll through the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
Cleghorn, who has led operations and project delivery across the company for more than a decade, will oversee construction excellence, safety, and field operations as Chief Construction Officer.
The expanded leadership structure positions Caliber 1 Construction to:

The executive leadership team also includes Chris Elliott, CEO; Jenny Elliott, President; and Tommy Michael, Chief Operations Officer. Co-owners Chris and Jenny Elliott remain the sole official officers of the organization.
