Summer 2026 Interns Announced

Caliber 1 Construction Marks 10 Years of ‘Building My Blueprint’ Internship Program

VILLA RICA, GA (June 1, 2026) – Caliber 1 Construction announced its Summer 2026 interns, marking 10 years of its Building My Blueprint internship program.

Since its launch in 2016, the program has welcomed more than 45 college students from across the Southeast, providing hands-on experience in project management, job site coordination, and real-world construction environments. This summer, Caliber 1 will host four interns, including two returning students who are continuing their development within the company.

“We started this program 10 years ago because I saw a real need to give the next generation opportunities to gain hands-on, field experience. It’s critical to go beyond the textbook to see active projects in the field,” said Chris Elliott, CEO of Caliber 1 Construction. “Construction is built on experience, mentorship, and problem solving, and we’re proud to help students develop those skills early in their careers.”

The Summer 2026 Building My Blueprint interns include:

  • Ashton Bridwell of Suwanee, GA: Georgia Southern University, Economics
    • Internship: Business of Construction: Contracts, Finance, and Analytics
  • Noah Ramos of Columbus, GA: Georgia Southern University, Construction Management, returning intern
    • Internship: Field Superintendent
  • Andrew (AJ) Rogers of Wedowee, AL: West Georgia Technical College, Commercial Construction Management
    • Internship: Field Superintendent
  • Austin Wisener of Carrollton, GA: West Georgia Technical College, Commercial Construction Management, returning intern
    • Internship: Field Superintendent

The internship program is designed to give students practical exposure to commercial construction, from preconstruction planning to project delivery. Interns work side by side with seasoned field experts and project managers, contributing to active builds in the nearby communities.

The program also reflects Caliber 1’s broader investment in developing the future construction workforce. In 2025, the company announced a $1.5 million investment and partnership with the  University of West Georgia’s Richards College of Business to help launch a new Construction Management Concentration within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management program. The partnership is focused on creating stronger pathways between education and industry through mentorship, internship opportunities, and real-world industry experience.

“We believe the future of this industry depends on creating opportunities for students to learn directly from experienced professionals,” Elliott said. “Whether through internships or our partnership with UWG, we’re committed to helping build the next generation of construction leaders.”
