20 Years of Growth
Caliber 1 Construction was founded in 2005 by Jenny and Chris Elliott, who launched the business from the loft of Paulding Kids University — a childcare center built by Chris and operated by Jenny.
What began as a passion for building functional, purpose-driven spaces quickly grew into a thriving construction company known for exceeding client expectations through quality craftsmanship and responsive service.
One successful project and relationship at a time, C1C grew from a local contractor into a national partner, now with a 37 state footprint. By 2009, retail fit-outs and renovations accounted for the majority of our work. Our growth continued in 2016 as national brands like Chick-fil-A, T-Mobile, Starbucks, and Target began trusting us with some of their most visible locations.
In 2020, we expanded to take on larger and more complex builds, including competitive municipal projects where we earned recognition for exceeding client goals and surpassing timelines. Today, our portfolio spans steel-frame, wood-frame, and masonry construction across public and private market sectors including assisted living, automotive, educational, financial, healthcare, professional, restaurants, and retail.
From day one, our goal has remained the same: to deliver integrity, quality, and satisfaction on every job — and to be the kind of partner clients ask for by name. That’s why we invest in our people, including an expert team and a growing year-round internship program.
Headquartered in West Georgia, we’re especially proud of the revitalization of the CERC Professional Building in Villa Rica — the city’s tallest building. An underused space for years, it now houses five businesses and serves as our home base. More than just an office, the CERC has become a key asset for Villa Rica, contributing to local economic growth and reflecting our commitment to building a stronger community.
